The Black Friday sales are always a great opportunity for people to get the products they desperately want at a price they’re happy to pay. That certainly seems to be the case for Playstation VR.
Sony have enjoyed a strong Black Friday sales period in the UK with both Playstation 4 and Playstation VR products matching some of their strongest sales weeks to date.
The Ukie Gfk chart suggests that Playstation 4 had its strongest week of sales since 2013 and that Playstation VR sales were ‘on par’ with the headset’s launch week.
It also suggests that 83% of hardware units were sold in official bundles with the bundles having an impact on the software chart. The highest reaching VR game was Playstation VR Worlds at #11.
As you know, Perp Games have released a series of VR products over the last few months, including VR Karts, Radial G, Don’t Knock Twice, and more recently The Assembly / Perfect VR Double Pack. With The Ultimate VR Collection, Theseus and Fruit Ninja VR still to come, and a host of exciting releases ready for 2018, you can be sure that the future of VR is looking very bright indeed.
