Relive the nightmare when CAPTURED brings its anomaly horror hunting title to consoles
![]()
When “keeping you in the loop” has a different meaning. CAPTURED plunges players into an
inescapable nightmare once more when the psychological horror title hits PlayStation 5 consoles on September 12th and Xbox S/X on October 7th.
Prepare to question reality as you know it as CAPTURED, the chilling, first person anomaly-hunting horror game, is set to launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, following its launch on Steam in October. Developed by Puck Games and published by Perp Games for console, CAPTURED beckons players into a terrifying loop where their own home becomes an endless nightmare.
Don’t loop back in anger
In CAPTURED, players find themselves trapped in a never-ending hallway within their seemingly familiar home. The only escape lies in their ability to capture anomalies on camera, using memory skills to correctly identify any changes that appear “off”. As the creeping darkness pervades, and rooms shift with unsettling regularity, players must zoom in on suspicious changes and correctly identify their anomaly type – be it object, lighting, water, or a missing room. The only way to escape the madness and break the cycle is to correctly find and identify the anomalies to avoid getting CAPTURED.
Is anyone there?
Players are not alone in this horrifying feast for the senses. Three sinister entities stalk the endless corridors, each with unique mechanics that demand the strategic use of the flashlight, camera, and doors in order to survive. While silence may offer temporary reprieve, staying too long in one loop risks revealing your location to these unwanted guests. Lingering can sometimes have its benefits as the leaderboards, available on console and PC, will feature the very best of anomaly hunters. The more anomalies you find, the higher you will climb!
Smile for the camera…
Drawing heavy inspiration from the found footage and supernatural classic horror films of the 90s, CAPTURED offers a unique experience, immersing players further with its realistic graphics and chilling atmosphere. The game promises an isolating and eerie feeling of being trapped, delivering an authentic analogue horror experience dripping with a ’90s VHS aesthetic and unsettling camera system.
Circle of life
Already available on Steam, console players won’t have to wait long to get in on the action when CAPTURED arrives on consoles on PlayStation 5 consoles on September 12th and Xbox S/X on October 7th. CAPTURED is available to Wishlist on Xbox S/X and PlayStation consoles now, launching with an SRP of €6.99/£5.99/$6.99 (*Note that exchange rate fluctuations in the digital store may slightly affect your local pricing).
