FitXR and Perp Games are delighted to reveal that BoxVR is getting a physical release on PlayStation® VR (PSVR), this October in EU Territories.
NA Territories will receive a physical release shortly afterwards.
BoxVR is a boxing-inspired, virtual reality workout application designed to keep you fit with high-intensity routines choreographed by professional instructors.
BoxVR is designed to support people of varying fitness levels, as you jab, weave, and uppercut in time to the music. Players can either choose from one of 45 choreographed routines of varying lengths and intensities or create their own workout.
In My Workouts mode, players create and set the length of their workout by creating a custom playlist from the 110 included music tracks, as well as changing the intensity of the routine, in an effort to beat their best score and improve performance.
BoxVR also supports multiplayer, enabling players to compete with five other people in real-time to tackle the same workout together.
BoxVR has been awarded ‘Best VR Fitness Game of the Year’ by VR Fitness Insider and has been well received by critics and users alike.
“We’re excited to partner with Perp Games to bring BoxVR to a wider audience and, hopefully, turn many of them into fitness enthusiasts,” said Sam Cole, co-founder of FitXR. “Given how many gamers and VR fans have migrated to our platform to not only get workouts in consistently, but have fun doing it, it’s a natural fit.”
Rob Edwards, Managing Director of Perp Games, can’t wait to move into the fitness market with BoxVR. “VR has limitless potential in helping people get fit and stay healthy. We can think of no better partner than FitXR to release our first fitness game and are delighted to bring one of the very best workout experiences out there to global retail.”
BoxVR will launch on PSVR at retail this October in EU and NA Territories.
