Noodle Cat Games and Perp Games team up to bring Cloudheim to consoles
The co-op chaos action-RPG is also getting an immediate Odin’s Shell’s-worth of major updates including WorldShare, a physical edition, and a roguelite mode in the near future. Simultaneous release date across all platforms, including PC, coming soon and new update, Update 34, drops today.
The team here at Perp Games and independent studio, Noodle Cat Games, today announces its partnership to bring Cloudheim to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. All platforms will launch at the same time, with a physical edition also confirmed and a Nintendo Switch 2 version being planned.
Following slew of major updates in the form of Haven, Gnasherpalooza, and Equinox that brought a tonne of new content, updates, and improvements to the Nordic-inspired title, Noodle Cat has also just completed its ‘Noodle Jam’. With one week for the developers to add anything to the game, one of the major additions coming to Cloudheim is the new roguelite mode – codenamed Njord – which will be launching in the near future as a limited-time event.
With Noodle Jam now complete, players can instantly jump straight into Update 34, with the highly anticipated addition being ‘WorldShare’, which is available from today. As one of the studio’s most requested features by its fans, hosts no longer need to be online if you’re playing with friends in a shared world. Omitting the need to coordinate online play, shared saves can now be set with fellow trusted Runari without fees.
In addition to its recently launched Fishing for Tomes event where players can enjoy an upgraded fishing experience and new loot, Update 34 is now in full swing. Bringing a plethora of new content and fixes inspired directly by Cloudheim’s dedicated community, its most prominent include:
- Expeditions – A new set of repeatable, randomized mini quests with new and bountiful rewards
- Quality of life and improvements – Major Quality of Life upgrade, plus a wide range of combat improvements, progression updates, bug fixes and addressing known issues
