Trenches VR, the WW1 survival horror arrives on PlayStation VR 2 this January 20th
PlayStation VR 2 players can now dive deep into the gritty, claustrophobic trenches of WW1 in Steelkrill Studio’s psychological horror, following its launch on Meta Quest and Steam VR
It’s time for PlayStation VR 2 players to take the plunge into Horror Game Awards nominee and critically acclaimed Trenches VR hellscape. Developer Steelkrill Studio and publisher Perp Games, are now recruiting brave soldiers to take on the psychological horror title.
Dropped into an inescapable nightmare where your sanity will be questioned, you’ll play as WW1 soldier James R. Desperate to escape the horrors of war and return safely to his family, the only way through is to navigate a claustrophobic, shifting maze whilst evading and outsmarting a relentless, horrific monster, and collect clues to ensure his freedom.
The ever-lurking monster can hear every in-game, board-trodden footstep. Best to tread lightly, solider! Utilise noisy diversion tactics to throw the enemy off your scent or blow your handy trench whistle – at your own your risk – to hunt down vital clues.
Reality and delusion intertwine as the environment shifts with your sanity. What may look like a familiar path can never be trusted… especially with threats lurking around every corner. Get your bearings and make note of narrow trench passageways and the space under your sleeping quarters to bypass or hide from the enemy.
In Trenches VR, you only get one save. If you don’t make it out alive, you’ll relive the nightmare all over again. Plan strategically, move quietly, and don’t get caught. You have your orders, soldier.
PlayStation VR 2 players can pick up Trenches VR for 14,99€ / £9.99 (*Note that exchange rate fluctuations in the digital store may slightly affect your local pricing).
